I commenced my professional life at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board of Sri Lanka as an Officer in the investigations Branch of the Organization.

Duties involved were briefly, the population and topographical surveys and carrying out Engineering Investigations to identify reliable water source in the area, which has been selected to provide water supply project for domestic purposes, for which there are various engineering processes to perform with regard to rainfall, existing wells, flowing streams, ground water etc. For this reason, I had to travel and live all over the island.

During early stages, I got a chance to work in up- country, rich in lot of charming nature like delightful water falls, dreaming range of hills with cliffs covered with floating misty clouds, fascinate tea estates and fresh shivering, cool climate.

This wonderful atmosphere made me a novelist with published novel and also a lyricist, composer and a vocalist of my own eighteen songs, which I loved much, but the comments of others are yet to be received.

So, am I entirely satisfied in my life now? No……….Never. Why?
