Emergence of lengthy daydreams take place instantly, based on even a simple clue.

It was March 1971. The exact date is not in my mind. I was attending to an evening party – the engagement of one of my cousins prior to his wedding.The hall had been nicely set for the occasion.

All were in happy mood. Smiling faces were all around with chatting, chatting, chatting. Sweet music was flowing all over, sootheing body and mind. Most were dancing to the tune of music with their partners. I was enjoying watching all these.

My pair of eyes running here and there all over the hall aimlessly, suddenly stopped at one figure.

A girl!

A pretty, young, fair girl!

Attractive, well shaped figure

with smiling face.

Blue, round eyes.

Long, silky hair like misty clouds.

Snow white mistyclouds floating in air,

above widely spread green pasture appeared

in front of my eyes.

Is she a fairy coming down from heaven and treading towards me rhythmically?

My mind started calling me joyfully.

“Yes. She is she.”

“She is the girl created for you.”

“She is the girl living for you.”

“Yes. She is the one looking for you.”

I acted promptly. Before the end of the function, I was able to find all the facts and figures.


In May 1971, I had my engagement with this fairy named Neeta and in October 1971- five months after the engagement we got married – a rapid, marvelous change in life within a very short period.

I respectfully murmur in mind – “Neeta,You were my Rainbow who made my life colourful. You will be in my heart and mind for ever. One day I’ll see you at your tiny cubicle where you rest in peace my dear.”
