I have discussed little bit on adverse effects of revolution, which takes place sometimes inadvertently in passage of time. Those responsible for behavioural revolution in individuals I have discussed in the previous chapter as I think are the teachers, parents and other relevant elders.

This type of revolution producing unacceptable results could be prevented, if teachers, parents and adults guided anybody in his childhood.It is an acceptable fact, that the children can be diverted to any direction whether good or bad without much effort, like molten metal takes any shape permanently, that of it’s mould.

If the children were taught about the customs, formalities and the correct behaviour they should bear, invariably they would embrace them. Luckily it is observed, that they bear good qualities also unexpectedly.

In recent past, the cast was considered as a highly decisive factor in getting into marriages. There were almost no marriages between persons of different casts. Nowadays in most areas, even the elders have realized the cast is unimportant.

The other case is smoking. Though I do not have facts and figures, the smokers are now reduced immensely. The practice of offering cigarettes at parties and funerals has now become obsolete.

The results are same with liquor and drunkards. Illicit liquor producing spots are also now greatly reduced which were run as massive businesses. Number of years back, it could be frequently seen the drunkards on streets with unbalanced walking and fallen at edge of streets. Quarrels among adjoining houses and bitter shouting are now not heard.

Those are good aspects of revolution. If the children are diverted to correct path, no doubt that Sri Lanka will again be the “Pearl in Indian Ocean” with One Nation called Sri Lankans, under One Sri Lankan Flag.
